Remarks:

BoC Pay transit QR code Gift Points Rebate promotion (the “Offer”) Terms and Conditions:
1. The Promotion is valid from 1 January to 31 December 2024, both dates inclusive and based on the transaction date (the "Promotion Period").
2. The Offer is only applicable to QR Code payments made with the BoC Pay mobile app (the “BoC Pay”) via the UnionPay network. The customer must successfully bind BoC Pay with a BOC UnionPay Dual Currency Credit Card (the “Eligible Credit Card”) issued in Hong Kong bearing the BOC logo (the “Eligible Customers”). Eligible Customers must settle the fares (the “Eligible Transactions”) through BoC Pay transit codes on designated transportations (For more details, please refer to BoC Pay>Transit Code>Instructions/Routes) which support UnionPay transit QR codes.
3. During the Promotion Period, an Eligible Customer can enjoy extra 5X gift points on top of the basic 1X gift point (HK$1 = 1 gift point) upon settling a total net spending on Eligible Transactions (after deducting all discount amounts) with BoC Pay Transit Codes.
4. The extra gift points rebate accrual is counted on a calendar month basis, starting from the first day of the month until the last day of the month. All Eligible Transactions will be counted based on the transaction date, must be completed during the Promotion Period and posted on or before the seventh day of the next calendar month. The total awarded cash rebate shall be rounded to the nearest dollar. Each Eligible Customer can enjoy a maximum of up to an extra 5,000 Gift Points during entire Promotion Period.
5. Eligible Transactions made with a supplementary card will be combined with those from the main card to calculate towards the gift points. All Eligible Credit
Card accounts of the cardholder will be automatically combined for the calculation of the Offer.
6. The relevant gift points will be credited to the Eligible Credit Card used to settle the earliest Eligible Transaction within 3 months after each settlement upon verification of Eligible Transactions and BoC Pay binding record by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited (“BOCHK”) and/or BOC Credit Card (International) Ltd (the “Card Company”).
7. An Eligible Customer whose eligible credit card account and/or BoC Pay account are valid and in good standing, and whose BoC Pay account is bound with an eligible credit card during the entire Promotion Period and at the time the extra gift points is being awarded, will be eligible for the Promotion. In the event of violation of the Credit Card User Agreement and/or Credit Card Agreement, termination of a credit card account, overdue payment or bad record, or forfeiture of the gift points rebate during the Promotion or at the time the extra gift points rebate is being awarded, the extra gift points rebate will be cancelled automatically forthwith.
8. The Offer is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products / discounts. Offer is based on net single spending and not eligible for any split transactions.
9. The Offer cannot be used in conjunction with other offers, merchant / member benefits, cash coupons, discounts and gift certificates, unless otherwise stated.
10. Any cancelled/ refunded/ falsified/ unposted / split transactions/ unauthorized transactions are not counted as eligible transactions. In case of such transactions, the Offer will be cancelled together with those transactions. BOCHK and Card Company reserve the right to debit the relevant Credit Card account with the amount equivalent to the value of the Offer without prior notice to the customer.
11. The above Offer is subject to the record of BOCHK and/or Card Company. BOCHK and/or the Card Company will determine the eligibility of each transaction by matching the customer transaction records held by BOCHK and/or the Card Company and the relevant data provided. 4. Using UnionPay Mobile QuickPass to pay MTR fares is limited to transactions linked to UnionPay credit cards only. This restriction does not apply to other transportation.
5. The payment for transportation fares using UnionPay Mobile QuickPass or UnionPay QR Code generally defaults to adult fares.
6. The Offer applies only to transactions processed through the UnionPay network, and is not applicable to transactions made via UnionPay online banking or third-party payment platforms.
7. The Offer is not applicable to High Speed Rail, Airport Express, Light Rail, MTR Bus, specified ferry lines of HKKF and Sun Ferry.
8. The Offer cannot be exchanged for cash or other products and is non-transferable.
9. Each card can enjoy the Offer once only per day, and up to 36 times during the entire Promotion Period. Quotas are shared by all participating transportation. Registration may not guarantee the Offer. The actual timing of allocating the Offer is subject to each transportation company. For pre-authorised transactions, the discount will be calculated when the transaction is actually recorded in the system.
10. UnionPay International Company Limited (refers to “UnionPay International”) will send a notification message to the mobile phone numbers bound to the registered cardholders’ UnionPay cards upon the cardholders’ successful redemption of the Offer, including but not limited to the actual discount amount.
11. The Offer is limited to a total of 150,000 quotas on a first-come, first-served basis. The promotion may end early subject to the availability of the quota.
12. Under all circumstances shall all timestamps of this Promotion (including but not limited to the transaction date/ time), transaction amounts, reversal, revocation, cancellation or refund, be based on the UnionPay International back-end system records.
13. Each eligible transaction is only entitled to one reward only. If the transaction is qualified for more than one reward campaigns, UnionPay International system reserves the absolute right to determine which reward campaign applies.
14. Unless otherwise specified, the Offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions, including the UnionPay Offers and certain sectional fare offers provided by designated public transportation companies involving refunds. The distributed instant discounts will be cancelled upon the fare refunds from the public transportation companies and the quota used will still be counted, except for cross-border consumption exchange rate discounts for which registration has been successfully completed. Currently, the order of discount offers shall be instant discounts first, then the exchange rate discounts.
15. If cardholders cancel the card registration, the card will no longer be eligible for instant discounts after the cancellation.
16. The Offer details will not be shown on the screens of MTR Gate, MTR Mobile, or POS machines of the participating companies. Cardholders can refer to the actual amount debited by the issuing bank.
17. The Offer is only applicable to qualified transactions excluding withdrawn, reversed, cancelled, refunded transactions nor fraudulent activities. If the transaction is cancelled by MTR Corporation Limited, The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited, Long Win Bus Company Limited, Citybus Limited, Hong Kong Tramways Limited, Hong Kong and Kowloon Ferry Limited, Sun Ferry Services Company Limited or the Star Ferry Company Limited, the Offer will be cancelled and the quota used will still be counted. Since the UnionPay International system cannot identify whether the revocation, cancellation or refund is due to the subjective will of cardholders or other reasons like the system, UnionPay International will disqualify cardholders from enjoying the discount, and reserves the right to pursue legal liability and retrieve the instant discount which has already been granted. The quota originally issued will not be returned after the transaction is withdrawn, cancelled, or refunded/ returned.
18. If the transaction is cancelled or refunded, the balance of paid amount will be refunded to the corresponding UnionPay card. The discount amount will not be returned for any manual refund. If the refunded amount after cancellation is incorrect, do contact the UnionPay International customer service hotline for inquiries.
19. Participating cardholders will be disqualified for any of the following violations (refers to “Violations”):
a) Fraud transaction;
b) Participation in the Promotion for the purpose of illegal profits;
c) Participation in the Promotion by maliciously using multiple accounts, participation or assistance in withdrawal of UnionPay resources (including but not limited to offers, coupons or rewards of all kinds);
d) Participation in the Promotion by any robot software, spider software, crawler software, spamming software or other automated means;
e) Violations of the principle of good faith;
f) Implementing other cheating behaviour that is not actually receipt.
20. If there is any violation during participation in the Promotion, UnionPay International reserves the right to disqualify the cardholders, forfeit the discount, withdraw the discount issued, and decline to allow the cardholders to enrol in any UnionPay International promotions in the future. UnionPay International reserves the right to claim against the offending users according to the seriousness of the circumstances and pursue relevant legal responsibilities.
21. It shall be known by the cardholders that all kinds of uncertainties exist in the Internet. UnionPay International reserves the right to suspend the Promotion due to force majeure, communication route failure or large-scale computer hacking etc.
22. Cardholders should ensure the information provided is complete, true and accurate. If the cardholders’ registered card number is inconsistent with the actual payment card number, and resulting in the failure to enjoy the Offer, the cardholders shall bear the corresponding responsibility. UnionPay International does not assume any liability arising from it.
23. If the cardholders fail to enjoy the Offer due to their own electronic device problems or other system issues, UnionPay International does not assume any liability arising from it.
24. The usage of UnionPay APP is bound by other terms and conditions. Cardholders can refer to UnionPay APP for details.
25. Non-local cardholders should note that some card types may be affected by the configuration of the card-issuing bank, and need to activate overseas transaction permission in advance, pay close attention to the account balance or spending limit, and get transaction password ready. For details, please contact the relevant card-issuing bank.
26. Cardholders shall understand and accept that UnionPay International is not the supplier of the transit services. For the service details, please contact the corresponding public transportation companies for inquiries. UnionPay International will not assume any responsibility for the related transit services.
27. Cardholders must carefully read and fully understand all the terms and conditions of the Promotion. Participation in the Promotion constitutes an acceptance of all terms and conditions of the Promotion.
28. UnionPay International reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions in the Chinese and English versions within the limits allowed by applicable laws. UnionPay International does not assume any liability arising from any changes of the Promotion or terms. All information is subject to the content announced through official channels of UnionPay International.
29. For any discrepancy between the terms and conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
Exception Clause:
1. The terms and conditions of the promotion is applicable to the merchant. Details can be consulted from customer service staff.
2. UnionPay International is neither vendors nor service providers, thus UnionPay International is not responsible for the products or services provided by the merchant. Any obligations and liabilities relating to such products or services and all auxiliary services shall be borne by the merchant.
3. Merchants and/or offer may be affected by COVID-19. Details shall be subject to the announcement of the merchant.
4.
